The adhesion is very strong; these materials are use by commercial glaziers to stick glass onto the exterior of buildings. <div><br></div><div>Some of the tapes are very thin so they would not slow the heat flow into the sensor very much. If you want to mount it once and not take it off ever again, why not use a<br>
good polyurethane caulk like Sikaflex? No VOCs, no acetic acid. You could<br>

protective paper over the adhesive. It seems to be virtually impervious to<br>
heat or cold, though I have not tried to apply it to the back of a PV<br>
module.<br>
I keep it on the raft for all sort of repairs that get very hot & wet.<br>

Typically available at sheet metal shops, Home Cheapo, plumbing suppliers, &<br>
some hardware outlets.<br>

I’ve seen electrical tape used (obviously the results were terrible),<br>
thermally conductive epoxy from Omega Instruments ($$) used, some kind of<br>
foil tape (electrically questionable).<br>
