Quietside has developed a gas tankless water heater especially to use
solar preheat. It condensing, 90% efficient, and uses a dual gas valve
to achieve an amazing 6.7 to 1 modulation range. It uses PVC Flues, can
be set up for propane or NG. We have been using Quietside products now
for 5 years, and they have been very reliable. What I use for solar
water heating is the TCT Progressive Tube solar water heater with the
Quietside On Demand Water (ODW) 120, in the middle of their product
range. Since we have started using the ODW we have no callbacks and no
complaints. We also use the D'mand hot water circulation system to
accelerate hot water to the back bathroom and save water. The three
products work seamlessly together. <br>

systems and only for
customers that purchase a PV system from us and want SDHW as well. We
want to
recommend a tankless heater where it makes sense (very old gas hot
water heater
or we need the space to swap out the existing gas water heater for the
solar
storage tank, new construction, etc.).</span></font></p>

years ago and one of the key issues was choosing a tankless heater that

on input water temperature”. The only one I was aware of at the time
was a
small Bosch system with ½ Cu lines. Are there big fellows that

on input water temperature” and could someone recommend one? </span></font></p>
