Christopher is right on w/the surplus suggestion. One of my all time favs is www.candhsales.com I just recently purchased a solid state relay that is 3.8 - 28VDC input/control w/output contacts rated at 240VAC @ 10A for $9, made by Kodak. For 3-32VDC control and 25A it is $13.50 and one rated for 40A is $22.50. I also grabbed a couple of 12VDC coil Mercury Contactors, w/contacts rated for 35A up to 600VAC, only $7.50 for these handy raskels!  They sure "clack" compared to a silent solid state but should out live any installer.
C and H is a gold mine, a true candy store for Wrenches!
