FYI: in the current monitoring I'm doing on our office PV system using a AEI MM3000, the DC-AC efficiency is in the 80 percent range.  Pretty darn impressive, I think, for a battery-based system.

Hi Marco. I’m doing an estimate on a system with the AEI MM5 and had a few design questions.

1)      What is the simplest Inverter to Battery disconnect, 175A circuit breaker, to use? I was considering the Trace DC175.

2)       Does the MM5 come with the PC software kit for programming or does it have to be ordered separate?

3)       This is a grid-tie w/ battery backup & what system monitor would be the most user/ homeowner, friendly? I am considering the AEI MM5 data monitor but it’s in the $540.00 price range, & there isn’t any information available on it.

4)       Also if anyone knows what sort of disconnect PG&E requires, I’d be grateful.
