Air to Air heat exchanges are horribly inneficient- often the motors use far more power than the energy they deliver.
Air to liquid heat are bad but not as bad as air to air heat exchanges, however, they often use more power for their motors that the BTU's they deliver.
Solar air collectors are pathetic in any air to air or air to liquid heat exchange compared to liquid to air heat exchangers.with thermal solar collectors that are glycol anti freeze or drainback systems.
Always try to use  liquid to air heat exchangers.
Air- especially dry air is a horrible heat exchange medium simply because air density cannot "hold" many BTU's compared to liquid collectors.
