Air to Air heat exchanges are horribly inneficient-
often the motors use far more power than the energy they deliver.
Air to liquid heat are bad but not as bad as air to
air heat exchanges, however, they often use more power for their motors that
the BTU's they deliver.
Solar air collectors are pathetic in any air to air
or air to liquid heat exchange compared to liquid to air heat exchangers.with
thermal solar collectors that are glycol anti freeze or drainback systems.
Always try to use liquid to air heat
exchangers.
Air- especially dry air is a horrible heat exchange
medium simply because air density cannot "hold" many BTU's compared to
liquid collectors.
