<P>About a year ago I purchased an Iota DLS-75(12volt charger).I had the voltages adjusted to 14.8 on low and 15.4 on high. Charging is from a generator at an off grid location.There is no ac transfer switch in this installation so dc lighting as well as inverter(no battery charger)draw is going on while the batteries are being charged.In three months the unit failed.A replacement was shipped immediately (no charge)and installed.Three months later and another failure.After talking with Chris at Iota 800-866-IOTA ext.111, I found out that when other than factory voltages 13.6-14.2 are used a fold back circuit(self protection) is deleted in the unit.I had them ship me a factory voltage unit(no charge).This has been in for 8 months and the only call back that I have had was three blown fuses in the bottom of the unit. I have instructed my customer to be careful with usage while the unit is charging,this should clear up the blown fuse problem.<BR>Be careful when the using custom voltage charging levels and excessive dc use, you may be putting the unit in jeopardy. Chris at Iota was very helpful and I like the Iota product.</P></DIV>
