I am sorry guys-
you are really clueless about the real net versus gross of energy
cost. You need to read books by Dr. Howard Odum- consult old Stewart Brand
Whole Earth catalogues or order his books from the University of
Florida. Odum is recognized world wide except in this decaying cadaver of
capitalism that pushes the consumer programming to entrophy. If you take
the cost of the peanut butter sandwiches it cost the farmer to grow to
create food for the machinist to make mining equipment for the extraction and
manufacture of aluminum framewalls, stain steel screws,
tempered glass silicon wafers and the trees cut down to make cardboard boxes to
use fossil fuels to ship solar electric panels which you drive in fossil
fuels vehicle to install- so the electric module would have to achieve 75%
efficient conversion to even break even net versus gross in 50 years.
Sorry, entrophy wins- fossil fuel or death dinosaurs are like ugly wealth your
insane uncle left you. There will never be a net versus gross in human
history like carbon for energy for a net versus gross return for energy used for
energy returnedl. All wrenches are knights- errant in a world of global
consumer madness. The Fourth World Wars had started after the cold war
talk to the prophets like Steve Baer or subCommandante Marcos- the global ruling
banks connected by computers know that in thirty years roving bands of gypsy
exiles in America will be tearing up shopping mall parking lots to
extract the asphalt to convert to fuel in Mad Max like gangs.
Louisiana and Southern Florida will be under water and the Bushes will be
in jail for crimes against humanity. Mankind cannot control technology and
cannot conseive that a tree exist except for extraction and use as stock.
We are all on a latter thats falling- going to solar power is sanity but it will
only slow the collapse to a steady state sustainable economy.
"Forgive me friends for making you a madman
by persuading you to believe as I did myself, that there have been formerly and
are now knights-errant in the world."
Miguel de Cervantes
Don Quixote 1174
We Know What We're Doing; It's Worth It
to whom it may concern,
I am a fugitive,
Once I was born,
They locked me up inside of
me,
But I left,
My Soul searches for me,
through hills and Valleys,
I hope my Soul,
Never finds me.
-Fernando Perssoa
Find the cost of freedom buried in the ground,
Mother Earth will swallow you, lay your body down.
-Steven Stills from the album "Four Way
Street"
