A client of mine had the 10amp Power Planner from Home Depot. He used it on
his Conserve refrigerator that was powered off of a Trace Modsine inverter.
He said he saw a 15% drop in current consumption, but the Power Planner ran
real hot and smelled like it was about to self-destruct when the battery
volts where at or around bulk, so he discontinued its use.
Carl, I have found that all the timers I have tried using mod-sine wave, do
get hot, and some melt-down. Use sine wave if you can.
