Re: Fried Combinor Box [RE-wrenches]
Don,
I have been out working all week and stopped my email from downloading after 200 but I got this one.
Yes, there is a problem with the TCB10. I have only had a chance to scan Berdner's reply to my email about my failed TCB10 but the reasons he is giving me for why mine failed still don't work. Yeah I probably misapplied it but it shouldn't have failed until it got colder than it gets around me. By the way I have been trying to get an answer for half year and it wasn't until I put him on the spot on the Wrenches list that he bother to finally reply with a well thought out answer (note my wording). He doesn't seem to be able to do anything but regurgitate "code says this and code say that". I am not trying to flame John but I have always been one to call it like I see. Of course I know I am a hick from MO so the RE community can blow me off but maybe you can get some response on your problem. I'd be glad to send my TCB10 to someone who wants to look it over.
I am going to stop typing before I get really pissed off.
Travis

Just returned from a job where I found the newly installed Trace (T cb10)
totally fried.
I know it was installed correctly. It suffered a total meltdown with only
about 1kw installed array (48 vdc nom). Has anyone had this experience? This
is a problem I don't need. But have more of these ordered for future job and
now I'm gun shy. Possible moisture in box (thats a given for outdoor
installs) but this should not have happened. It looks like the entire PC
board melted down. What other products are available for fused combinors at a
reasonable price?.
