Lowe's has been doing the same around me for years. I called CEC (the North American Distributor) and asked them to remove me from their "authorized" service person list after a lady called me crying (and I really do mean crying) with the problems that her AquaStar was causing her. It was sold to her with no warnings about needing a much larger gas line a larger flue and that it required absolutely clean water or it would clog everything up. I think the concept is great and I am on my second one but it's operational characteristics are radically different than what 99.9% of Americans find acceptable.

Just got a news flash from a friend that Home Depot is now selling AquaStar
tankless water heaters to the public for less than I can purchase them for. I
checked it out, and it is true. What's next, solar modules, inverters,
batteries, and charge controllers?
