Just to say that over here we stick to Osram made in Germany with a 15000
hour life. They are reliable and work well on SW inverters.
Just to add onto what Carl has said, I have over 65 lights in my
house and use Osram compact energy efficients in over half of them (about
35). They also work perfectly using Trace DR series, which is what
I use at present. I sell an absolute heap of them at Shows and Promotions
and find its an easy way to get people to start thinking in terms of the
energy efficiency aspects of RE - its the old 'crawl before you can walk'
theory. And probably for every c/f light that IS sold, we have done over
10 to 12 demos of them, but then sometimes you have to give before you
can get.
As an aside - shouldn't the 'Decade' lights be called that because that's how long you will regret buying inferior quality !!
