I think it's time to clarify my position with regards to my employment by Xantrex and my status on this list. I joined Wrenches as myself, a person who has lived off grid for over 30 years and who has designed, sold and serviced hundreds off grid systems. My day job is as an employee of Xantrex DRC (Trace brand) and as such I continue live and work with lots of our inverters. (I'm market manager for off grid power.) I sometimes post responses to discussion about Xantrex products when I have personal experience with the question being discussed but I am not participating on this list as an official representative of Xantrex DRC. I have also in the past posted links to various Xantrex releases which I thought might be of interest to the readership of this list, this perhaps caused the confusion as to my status on the list.

Xantrex is more than happy to answer specific requests for information at all times. In addition to the long standing channel of inquiries to Technical Support Xantrex now has a Coordinator of Dealer Relations, Pagan MacKay (360 435 8826 ext. 4070 or pagan.mackay@traceengineering.com). She will be pleased to assist dealers of Trace power electronics with assistance in getting questions answered. It is always good to regularly check out our web site www.traceengineering.com where all breaking news, technical notes, service bulletins and product manuals and literature are posted.

I hope that this clarifies that Xantrex DRC does not have an official representative on the Wrenches list, along with who to contact for dealer assistance.

p.s. Australia and New Zealand were beautiful and I saw lots of interesting and sometimes unique applications of renewable energy.  Among other things, they have the best flexible plastic conduit accepted by their codes, it's a two click connection to the enclosure.
