I have wondered about that myself.  ( whether the closeness of the companies and Sandia  would somehow shade the reviews some?

I think maybe we can get HP into this as well.  Just objective reporting of the facts.

My comprehension suggests that these agencies are a bit too close to the
manufacturers whom they test! We do need a "consumers reports" type group
that would be independent enough to offer unbiased data.  They need not
endorse. Simply publically make the data available.
