The question is about GFI protection for the roof mounted array.  What has anyone been doing to provide for GFI protection for roof mounted arrays? and where in the control room equipment has anyone mounted the GFI protection?

Larry, Trace makes a Ground Fault Protection Device that meets NEC requirements. It's available in 1 to 4 pole versions, with each pole capable of handling up to 100 amps. (Which means the single pole version works for most everybody.)  It is NOT supplied with an enclosure however, and it will not fit inside the Trace DC Disconnect box.  We usually stick it in an off-the-shelf 8-10-4 box, but if anybody's come up with a more elegant solution, please let us know.
