Our company installs 200 solar pool heaters a year
in north Florida. Visit our web site, www.ecs-solar.com for a link from solar pool
heating too Solar Industries and a question & answer sheet on solar pool
heaters. The maximum a solar pool heater can raise a pool is 15 to 16
degrees more than the water temperature if the pool was not heated. A pool
blanket (cover) with a reel can stack the 15-16 degrees another 8-10 degrees.
It's possible to be 18-25 degrees more than your neighbor's non heated
pool.
Solar Industries has the best mounting hardware, a
freeze guarantee and works the best in cold windy weather than any other
manufacturer. call 800-227-7657 or go to www.warmwaters.com or www.solarindustries.com . I believe
Compool makes the best solar pool control - 800 458-2201. For heat pumps
Calorex, linked from our web site or at www.calorexusa.com (888 297-3826) makes a
great one that's cheaper than LP gas by 80% and natural gas by 50%, if you don't
have a good location for solar pool heating. You should do a minimum of
50% of the pool's surface area to a maximum of 100% for sizing solar pool
heating. If you use a heat pump the AT600 Aquatherm by Calorex is the best,
and use AT800 if you are near the ocean.
Hope this gets you into hot water!!
