Wrenches: I was talking with a supplier today that mentioned that SMAof Germany  will be starting to import theSunny Boy transformerless grid intertie inverter next month. Its a 240v only output and requires a 20 module string to feed it. Going to the  sma-america.com site shot me to SMA of germany which had no US distributor info, but did explain their technology nicely. I'm sure someones probably mentioned it before but I could have been sleeping but what is the latest on the changes in anti-islanding standards that were revamped a few months back( If its not one thing its another ) Is that part of why Trace is revising software again? I understand the  PS series is not approved for grid intertie because of the new standards( I didnt even get a chance to hate it and its out of the loop) My same supplier said that his company did a few installs with the ST and had problems with the unit in both cases. As far as AES inverters, I noticed on the California buyd! own approved inverter list, they have  the GC1000 that AEI makes, listed as a AES( hard to keep these people straight)

After hearing the feedback from others on the Solarex panels and even the lack of total performance from the poly- crystallines in general, I think I'll stick with the mono-crystalline modules. I know siemens are hard to beat but who else would you guys consider to be in the same class. Id sold a lot of Solec before they stopped making the mono-crystallines and had been to their factory a few times picking up seconds( they always seemed to generate an unusual amount of them) but they are history for now , so who's a good runner up?
