I'm interested in a complete solar system to server as my primary source of electricity.
The system should include collectors, enough batteries for a half day backup and all the necessary components to make the system near maintenance free.  I intend to remain on the power grid, therefore, the solar system must be able to work along side, and in conjunction with the power supplied by the utility company.

I currently use between 450 and 550 kWh per month.   I have a southeasterly exposure and am located near the coast in California, about 100 miles south of San Fransisco.

What system configuration would you recommend for me and what is the approximate cost?

Any information you can supply would be helpful.

Thank you in advance,

Tony Berumen
