Bob'O: Thanks for the suggestions, the one thing I had overlooked was bonding the DC . I usually do bond the batteries except on very small systems but am not convinced 100% that battery bonding serves only good purposes. I wonder if it leaves the bank exposed to greater risk in the event of a lightning strike? The noise in this guys vcr could be as Jay said and just the result of the new inverter design. On another note, I'm in the market for an AC wattmeter and had seen one called the Watts up meter for $85 but as soon as I went to Frys to buy it ,they quit carrying the darn thing. Any feedback on that vs the Brand meter? I have people with $900 electric bills that want me to do solar to cut their bill down,ha ha ha! I'd suggested an energy audit as a first step.Carl Reuter
