I have old batteries I can provide to test desulfator
technologies.
I have a set of twelve six year old Sam's Club batteries in my
home system that I am planning on retiring in the near future. 24v system,
APC Powercenter with relay style charge controller, factory setpoints, EQed far
too seldom (something about the cobbler's children having no shoes comes to
mind...) The plates are beginning to wear thin, and I can't hold as high a
voltage as before when running large loads. Average depth of discharge on
a daily basis is to 90%, with deep discharges every month or so for tools,
weather & parties to 50%.
They're not totally used up, nor are they in fresh
condition. Probably an ideal set for A/B/Control testing. 3 24v
220AH or 12v 440AH strings, or 6 12v 220AH sets to compare competing
technologies.
