Being somewhat new to RE design and installation I would like
to ask for some input on PV costs for graduate research I am
conducting on PV lifecycle costs. Can anyone give me a reasonable
estimate on the lifespan of flooded batteries (assuming proper
maintenance)? How about deep cycle sealed batteries (i.e. Douglas, Concorde)?
The system I am designing for this analysis will most likely have a small
battery bank kept at float for backup when the grid goes down. I would also
appreciate any estimates on yearly operation and maintenance costs for
a 2.5- 3 KW system. Thanks.
