Wrenches: This is a rant; ignore it if you
love the E-Meter. We sent one (of several over the years) E-Meters back to
Cruising for warranty service. It arrived on the 17th. Today we
followed up because we had heard nothing: they had lost the RGA #, then found
it, fixed the meter, claimed the package had no RGA # on it, and it would ship
back in 2 days (for a turnaround time for warranty service of 24 days, maybe
more if we hadn't barked up their tree). I was told "we have a
backlog..." and that I would have had to pay for faster service. Customer
understandably is miffed.
Grrr.
Tri-Mets have proven much more reliable, and I
can get Ralph himself on the phone when I have a question or problem. It
has become an easy choice which meter to design into our systems.
