Roy,
I got a service call recently on an SW4024 system
that was having problems with appliances that were going bad. (Fortunately, I
did not originally install the system.) The Trace AC meter indicated an AC
output of 120 VAC. When I measured the AC output with a true RMS meter (Fluke
87) it was actually 140 VAC.
Trace tech support indicated that it was likely due
to bad FETs or a sensing transformer. I sent the unit to Trace for
repair.
Trrace received the unit and left word saying that
there were some bad FETs, possibly due to an overvoltage on the AC input (a
Kohler 6.5 kW generator in this system).
