[RE-wrenches] older outback stacking

I am trying to help someone do an older VFX off grid series stack with 2 inverters both vintage 2008. 

I thought you could stack them parallel or series and in series either without the X240 or with the X240 called OB stacking. 

But when I look  in the stacking options, there is just classic stack, it doesn’t give me L1 or L2 option.  And then 
OB stacking gives L1 and L2.



Am I remembering wrong?
