[RE-wrenches] Scraping old Trace SW’s

Depends.
Where I live the local metal scrap yard pays very differently for
Steel
Copper
Electronics
Wire
Transformers
So for me even if I just pulled it apart without actually breaking the transformers I’d more money vs putting it into the scrap steel.
My time isn’t so valuable anymore.
But the larger issue to me is the better recycling by type vs it go into the main scrap metal bin. So I spend the time.
They are all finally end of life. End of an era.
I just removed a still working from 1995 sw4024.
