[RE-wrenches] 3rd party appraisal for Sonnen system donated to community college?

to provide such a document as described here.

I run the NABCEP PV Associate training program at Pueblo Community College
in Colorado, funded by a State renewable energy workforce development
grant. A colleague way up in NOCO where I live is upgrading the ESS at one
of his installations away from the existing Sonnen. His client wants to
donate it to the college. The original Sonnen ESS equipment cost, no
install labor included, was right at about $24k.

The IRS paperwork 8283 clearly states that the Appraiser cannot be me or
anyone from the college, and can’t be anyone from the PV installation
company either.

PCC and myself would be eternally grateful if someone with Sonnen
experience could help and provide an appraisal. The client wants a tax
deduction of course, but my students and myself could have endless fun with
a vintage Sonnen, explore different battery charge/discharge curves, try to
dark start, etc.
