[RE-wrenches] Dual Sol-Ark - not paralleled - backing up separate 200-amp panels, with one AC-coupled input:

When thinking about the AC coupled inputs on a battery inverter, remember
that they are essentially in parallel (via some control relays and
monitoring) with the AC output of the inverter. So if you share an AC
coupled array, by definition, you are paralleling the outputs of the two
inverters, and will need to stack them to keep them in sync. And I think
you'd have to have the normal outputs stacked in parallel at that point as
well, otherwise they'd be very unhappy at seeing different loads pulling
from each one when they were trying to operate as a single inverter.

The only way I can see it working with two separate systems but a single PV
array is to AC or DC couple the PV array to just one of them, then have the
AC output of that one connect to the gen input of the other one, to be able
to shuttle some power over to the other system during grid outages.
Figuring out the controls for when you shuttle power over could be tricky.
And if the PV array is larger than a single inverter can handle, then it
won't work.
