I have considered this as well. The perfect solution in my view would be a
bypass bracket for a 4 space siemens 125A main lug panel(the kind with the
L2 lug in between the breakers). It could then be a cost effective and
space saving solution that could allow switching between two 30a breakers
for a single 240v load.
