[RE-wrenches] Xanbus Cable question

It's a regular Cat5/6 Ethernet cable.

Pay attention to termination, though. The Insight Home boxes are internally terminated. So that means it needs to be at the end of the Xanbus chain. The previous models had two RJ45 ports so you could wire the device mid-Xanbus.

Subject: [RE-wrenches] Xanbus Cable question

Hi all,
Is the Schneider “Xanbus” cable a special cable, or just an Cat5/6 Ethernet cable?
Is there a spec for it?

I’m trying to add an “Insight Home” to a XW Pro 6848 & the “Insight Home” does not come with the “Xanbus” cable needed to incorporate it in to the network.

One of my distributors said it’s a plain ole RS485 cable.

Thanks ahead of time!
