[RE-wrenches] recycling AGM batteries

It is definitely chaos about all this.
I did get the SDS from GNB or now its Stryten.
And sent it to my recycler who’s sending on to his end buyer in California. Which I’m guessing then goes onto china for melting?
And contiental battery, the actual battery company has an office in ABQ who was gracious to actually look up the info and they said it had a lithium content which just can’t go into the melting process.
But the SDS doesn’t list it.
I don’t know who’s correct, I’m just hoping I can them recycled
