If the temp sensor fails the system will shut down.  As a temporary measure
you can put a 2.2k resister across the temp sensor terminals.  This
simulates a temperature of about 70 Degrees F. See attached.



The manual section 10.5 on page 88 describes menu 280 and how to calculate
a password based on operating hours.  If you don’t have a manual it can be

Anyone know where I can find a new temp sensor for an SMA Sunny Island?
None of my vendors seem to have one. Also does anyone recall the default
password? I want to say it was 1111 or 0000.. yay solar trailers.
