[RE-wrenches] Make No Mistake

Hi William;
I agree that promoting unsubstantiated ideas is not helpful. However,
the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) is not a conspiracy
theory. It is a real organization with very real funding, that is also
anti-solar and anti-net metering. Dig into their publications. They are
funded by fossil fuel companies, and promote legislation in favor of
fossil fuels.
While we should not promote conspiracy theories, we also should not
stick our heads in the sand, and think we do not have adversaries that
are promoting anything they can to slow the adoption of RE. This very
much includes their promotion of RSS in the NEC. They were quite
successful in plucking heart strings in support of Fire fighter safety
to the detriment of solar installer safety.
Who's in more danger? The solar installers on the roof every day, or
fire fighters that might not ever have to cut through a solar panel? We
need to stand up for each other, for what's right, and for our own
safety in our chosen industry.
