William,
Both Midnite AIO and the Sol-Ark line are capable of this "self
consumption", and yes, you would put CTs (that come with the inverters), on
L1 and L2 lines coming into the house.  I've been solely using the AIO
since it has been an option, in large part because Midnite's batteries pair
with the AIO seamlessly, have a 15 year warranty and are less than ½ the
price of other LiFePO4 batteries that I would consider.
