[RE-wrenches] Telecomm Power Supply - Some Questions

Folks,

I am going to build a stand-alone power supply for some telecom equipment.

I settled on MorningStar ProStar with their EMC-1.

A few questions:

For emergency operation with days of autonomy used up at or near LVD, is it OK to parallel an AC powered battery charger such as IOTA onto the battery? Or do I need to disconnect the charge controller from the battery and load and connect a charger for the battery and a power supply for the load?

Who is a good vendor for a skid mounted outdoor battery box that is a step up from a Knack Box? Or is it really OK to put the AGMS inside the same enclosure as the electronics? If in the same enclosure do I still need some screened louver vents (I would think so).
