[RE-wrenches] Midnite Solar AIO question

I wasn't aware of the new AIO product until this thread. I downloaded
the manual and quick start guide and wanted to ask if this can be used
without batteries, and then batteries added later, as with Sol Ark. All
the schematics in the AIO show batteries. Searching didn't help with the
terms I was using.
The reality is I am 66, just picked a Medicare Plan today!, so not too
much time on the horizon. However I have two jobs that want to use
batteries later, not now.
