[RE-wrenches] Using MultiConnect Cell modem to access Outback ReOptics at remote site

I'm assuming several of you do this all the time. I have a used MultiConnect
Cell modem in the shop but it has a USB output so I plan on using a USB to
ethernet adapter and then plug into the Mate. While I don't see anything in
the manual that says that is a PoE port, the pics in the Mate manual
certainly make it seem so.

Then I'll put new SIM card with plan in the slot.

The question is: "Is it this easy or is there any sort of driver necessary
to interface with the Outback Mate?" I'll just search for the MAC address as
a I set up the ReOptics profile as if a typical networked connection.
