[RE-wrenches] Silicon batteries

Hi Jay - I did some research and figured they were at least worth a mention
in my last Home Power article on vacation cabins that sit unattended all
winter. There is no long-term data on cycle life as they are new
technology, and I have heard that they are "not for off-grid beginners."
The extreme temperature range they can supposedly handle is impressive and
that's what got my attention.
Contact Backwoods Solar in Sandpoint, ID for more info - they are testing
some installations in the field in the US and Canada.
