[RE-wrenches] Rooftop disconnect for multi tracker TLs

I would have recommended SolarBOS here as well, but as of Jan 1 2016 they require a minimum 20 piece order. They also have not yet set up a distributor for smaller orders…seems like an oversight.

Plan accordingly.

Solar BOS makes some good disconnects. 4 pole disconnect: F2SK32-1-4XP.
Less Expensive than Midnite Solar, but you have to buy directly from Solar BOS and the lead times can be longer.

Cheers,
Dave

Have you tried Sun Volt? We installed one of their switches and it worked out Ok. This will add 250 to 550 dollars to your job, of course.

Wrenches,

We have a few jurisdictions in the Bay Area that still require rooftop DC disconnects. We are installing a lot of SMA TL-22 inverters with dual MPPTs and if the system has more than 1 string it has been hard to source a good disconnect option (need 4 poles for switching two ungrounded strings). Does anyone have a good DC disconnect idea for this application?

Best,

August
