Wrenches,
It took 2 years of pondering, we finally made a backpack to carry modules up a ladder. The goal was safer and easier on the body than our other methods. It works. We used it for the first time yesterday, carried (16) 96 cell panels up to a two story roof. Attached are a few photos of the Kilty external frame backpack, retrofitted to carry panels, in landscape. 
I'm so relieved to have a safer, better way than all the other manual ways we've tried. Both hands are on the ladder, we don't get as tired when hauling.  
Please let me know if you have any suggestions for improvements.
