[RE-wrenches] Five L16s in a 24V string?

I think I would go with Lithium technology for a bi-polar battery or
installer disorder, ask your doctor or psychiatric health provider ;-)

I am chalking this up to old-time off-grid lore I've never heard of before.
and I'm an old-timer at off-grid too. The way to protect those string end
batteries from problems is the same as every other battery in the
series/parallel bank -- regular maintenance to maintain clean
low-resistance connections, but especially on the main corner DC
connections to the inverter / power panel etc.

Perhaps a case of "it ain't broke, don't fix it, been workin' fine all
these years?"
