[RE-wrenches] Schneider XW battery monitor

Hi Jay,

Here is a partial answer to your question. This is per Schneider Electric
tech support a while back but doesn't speak specifically of firmware:

"Conext Battery Monitor works with legacy XW in every way except Start
SOC%, which is a feature associated with the Auto Gen Start option and the
new XW+NA model inverter."

I do know that it can act as a stand-alone device if need be, but I think
it will integrate with pretty old SCP's.

By the way, if you haven't installed these before give yourself some time
to do it. There are a lot of connections and it takes time to make it look
clean. There is a large bundle of premade sensing connections that need to
go into the battery box at various locations. It can end up took like a
rats nest.

Unfortunately, the prescaler and the battery monitor don't seem to
integrate well into the Schneider power distribution panel. We have just
wall-mounted the prescaler and used a 6 x 6 pvc box for the battery monitor.

It looks to be a feature-rich device, a step up from other battery
monitoring devices, but takes quite a bit more time to install.

Good Luck
