[RE-wrenches] Off-grid deep well pumps

We have been supplying and installing the SQFlex series for about a decade. I'd estimate something around 80-100 pumps out there, some PV direct filling cisterns, some inverter powered directly pressurizing.

We have had a couple failures of the dry run switch, in water sources that were high in minerals (sensor gets all covered in scale). Had one of the very first pumps installed motor failed a year ago, replaced with new and back it goes down the hole. Just had first CU200 failure in queue to diagnose soon.

I consider the SQFlex a very solid product. But the product does not have the multi-decade field experience so hard to say how long will last.

i would also like to hear service reports on this too, specifically the standard grundfos centrifugal pumps with dc motor (SQF). helical rotors wear faster, so of course their life would not be as long.

by comparison, i have a 26 year old, 3/4 hp standard well pump which is still fully operational and in irrigation season, pumps ~2500 gallons a day.
