is the inverter in the "ON" or "Search" mode on the mate, I have had some noise issues when in the search mode with audio equipment

Tested them today and they did not work well on OutBack inverter power. These are wireless smokes that communicate with one another. They all begin to give false "smoke" alarms when on AC power, tested three times with same results. When disconnected from AC they operate fine on their battery power.

 

Is this a case of inverter power incompatibility?
