[RE-wrenches] Ice on array

Hello
I have a client who has experienced this twice now. 
After a snow storm, two of his arrays, when brushing snow from, will clear very easy. The third, which is of similar age as one that sheds well, gets ice underneath the snow and is not cleaned as easily.....
Any ideas?
