        "Chinese and Taiwanese continue to get hammered with these tariffs."      In any game, if you're not playing fair, you get penalized.

        Yes, I too thank SolarWorld for producing a very high quality product here in the USA at a reasonable cost, less polluting production methods and being there for me to back up their panels in the long run.  For myself and my customers, it feels good to know that our dollars are staying here in the states, boosting our economy.  Some Chinese PV companies have already come and gone in the rush to the bottom we saw a couple years ago. There are not doubt some Chinese PVs that are quality built but  many will follow the same path of anything else purchased from Walmart mentality...low upfront cost, early failure and a bad name for solar.  

        And its not just SolarWorld that should take the credit for the tariff bashing comments, though they have been willing to be the target for the few survivors here in the US.  My understanding is now there is an increase in production (and producers) domestically due to a leveling of the PV playing field.

  India-based Tata Power Solar (yes, Power Solar not Solar Power) is looking into getting into the U.S. market in a bigger way and they’re working with TUV in Arizona.

  Be interesting to see who fills the increasing void as far as module suppliers as the Chinese and Taiwanese continue to get hammered with these tariffs.  Thank you, SolarWorld!

  Hi: 

  The "cTUVus"  mark is accredited by OSHA (NRTL), and considered equivalent to UL and CSA by city , county and state regulators throughout the US. 

  The thing to check is that the applicable "cTUVus" standard was applied.  In this case the test needs to be the cTUVus equivalent of UL1703.

  Hola. 

  Does anyone know….For the U.S. market, is TUV certification to UL 1703 considered adequate? 

  I’ve always thought that modules sold in the U.S. had to have actual testing and certification by U.L. directly or another nationally recognized test lab.
