[RE-wrenches] Nano cleaning and sealing products.

James,

This product is probably much like Rain-X. While you could put it on PV modules, it would require reapplication on a fairly regular basis to keep it working. As you pointed out, I don’t think many, if any, module manufacturers that would specifically warranty their product with Rain-X on it—I don’t see this as any different.

Not as worried about it turning opaque. More worried that it will look bad as it wears out without a reapplication.

Bill.

Aloha Wrenches,

Now that one in ten houses have a solar system here in Oahu there are a lot of companies selling products and services like this one below.

http://www.cenano.net/solar-photovoltaic/

Here are a few of their claims:

Cenano Pacific exclusive nanotechnology line proudly introduces the #1 solar panel sealant and protectant in the world! Proven to seal and protect your solar panels plus increase their efficiency. It's 100% safe and will not affect your panels warranty. The sealant repels fat, dirt, oil and water on all solid, non-absorbent surfaces such as glass, metal, plastic, chrome, ceramics, and stainless steel.

Is there anybody out that can share some stories or insights on products like this?

Do they even work? When exposed to the sun for years will they turn from clear to opaque..etc.

Will this product or others like this void manufactures warranty's?

Mahalozz in advance,
