Mac:

I pulled the cover off a defunct SW in the shop to determine how this might be done. It is doable if you know how to work on printed circuit boards.

There is an art and a science to this type of repair and if you mess up the consequences are dire. I've had experience with PCB rework so I will tackle it if the client is willing but it has not been decided yet. I will report if I do proceed.

William

PS: I suppose it is possible to tack on leads to extract the RY7 or RY8 coil voltage to an external relay as well. If done carefully it might turn out OK. I could see a barrier strip mounted to the cooling vents...

I have a customer who apparently has a bad Relay 7 (or the board is bad), and I am considering trying to pull one of the others off to replace it. He just needs a two-wire start. I haven't found a way to program around this. Any advice on this?
