[RE-wrenches] Solar Thermal Question - ICS

Hi Corey,

I don't know much about ICS units because our climate is a little too cold
to use them on most projects. That said, I know that Heliodyne has a
product that they recently started importing:

*SOPAL INTEGRAL COLLECTOR STORAGE SYSTEMS*

[image: Solpal Storage Systems]Heliodyne is also pleased to be the
exclusive distributor of Solpal integral collector storage systems in North
America. With Solpal it is easier than ever to harness the suns energy to
generate hot water. Solpal is a solar water heater that feeds into your
existing hot water system. It ties into your water supply line and preheats
the water before it enters your existing water heater. The method is
simple, yet ingenious: Water is heated and stored within the solar
collector, eliminating the need for circulation pumps and an external power
supply.

*Solpal Features: *

•

Integrated collector storage systems suitable for warm climates

•

Easy installation on flat or pitched roofs

•

Low profile design can be installed flush to roof for superior look

•

Low cost solar system solution

•

More efficient than traditional thermosyphon systems

•

Half the size of traditional thermosyphon systems

I believe the tubes are aluminum which makes them cheaper than copper
products.

Best, August

Quick question for the thermal wrenches out there:

I am sourcing ICS "batch" units and wondering what is currently available.
My research shows the following:

- SunEarth "CopperHeart" <http://sunearthinc.com/systems/copperheart/> still
available

- Integrated Solar
"CopperSun"<http://www.integratedsolar.com/coppersun.shtml#coppersunsolar>still
available

- TCT Solar "ProgressivTube" no longer available

Can anyone provide more information?
