[RE-wrenches] Auto Gen on Outback

I am very confident using the OB VFX AGS settings for OFF GRID situations.
Be very careful using the flex net to s/s your generator. anytime this unit is disabled it will reference the battery voltage at that point as the full battery set point. There once was a time where OB suggested that one uses the AGS on the VFX only.
IF you do use the FNDC install a 10 amp breaker to allow you to disable the unit, after you have removed the cable to the hub. Fully charge your batteries using a refractometer then repower the FNDC. otherwise you WILL have all sort of issues. I have always found that the issues related to no start w/ the OB is either incorrect user settings , out of date software, or and this has always seemed to rectify the issue is to REPOL the mate once every few months.
AGS /gen start wiring into the MASTER VFX which should be located at the BOTTOM of your stack. ALWAYS install a temp sensor.....battery thermal runaway is NOT a pretty scenario!

Over the winter I went away for an extended period so I set up the auto start. I wish I had set it up from day one. I’ve never had a problem and with the Flexnet DC monitor there are all kinds of great settings for when you want it to start and stop. It’s worked flawlessly since I set it up.

The plan was to go with the Atkinson GSCM and a separate voltage controlled relay. It appears that if the system is 48 volts, it is necessary to center tap the battery bank for a 24 volt feed to the GSCM. This I don't want to do.
