[RE-wrenches] two buildings one grid connectioon

I have done this with two houses, each having its own utility meter and service. The AHJ approved it because all of the solar components were exterior to the host building, we had DC and AC disconnects at the host building, and we had engraved placards at both services identifying the location of everything and the point of interconnection. I don't believe there is anything in the NEC that would disallow it, but local codes or utility requirements might be a problem.

There are two adjacent detached buildings, one has great unshaded space with very little usage and the other has no available roof space with high annual usage. The separate owners of the two buildings want to work out a deal to install the array on the good space roof and grid connect to the other building. Is there anything in the NEC that will not allow this? I know there was a topic discussed last year "Two Buildings, two services, one roof" but that project was never installed and therefore no conclusion made.
