Phil,
Their cycle rating is far less than Hups or Rolls when you compare specs. I understand their self discharge rate is atrocious requiring a substantial portion of the charging source(s) to be allocated just for this.
I have heard the sales pitch that they last forever, but if you live off grid you are using the batteries in a cycling application and INMHO the flooded lead acid batteries are much better suited for this.
